Losing weight; Keys to success!

Here’s some keys to help you reach your long term goals. These keys have helped me tremendously on my 100lbs weight loss. Hope it can help you out as well!
Make sure you are mentally ready! Long term weight loss takes effort, time & commitment. So having a positive mindset & keeping your mental good is important.
Set realistic goals! Yes realist goals that are achievable for you to hit. Whether it’s to lose 5lbs a month or 30lbs in 6 months. Quickest way to giving up is not see results or hitting your goals. So be sure to set realistic goals for your weight loss. Examples: I had a goal dress I wanted to wear for my college graduation, it was 6 sizes smaller than what I was but I made it a long term goal of 10 months to fit my graduation dress Or you can reward yourself for losing pounds.. like a new workout set for losing 15lbs or a new hairstyle for hitting 30lbs., etc.
Enjoy healthier foods! If you are anything like me, I like to eat foods that I enjoy! You can always find alternatives to the foods you love & enjoy in moderation. Example: I love cheesecake! I learned to find a healthier option instead using sugar free jello cheesecake flavored & mix with sugar free whip cream, let it chill for a little for a healthy dessert!
Get active & STAY active! When I started my weight loss my goal was to hit 10,000 steps a day no matter what I was doing. Walking is a great way to kickstart your weight loss until you are comfortable running or jogging eventually. I lost my first 35lbs just walking everyday to hit my steps before going to an actual gym.
Change your perspective! Certain things I used to never pay attention to 100lbs ago Im fully aware of now. Find your motivation & reason WHY! Always have to remember why you want to lose weight. Ultimately you should want to lose weight for yourself & not for others. Self love is the best love & just find time to create healthy habits & overall healthier lifestyle.
